LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats are ranked seventh in the April 28 NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region baseball poll. Ranked eighth in the April 25 American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Poll, Franklin & Marshall is 23-13 on the season as F&M won the Centennial Conference regular season title. #1 nationally ranked Rowan University leads the regional poll, while Kean University, Johns Hopkins University, DeSales University, Alvernia College, Rutgers University-Camden, F&M and Messiah College round out the poll. Franklin & Marshall College (23-13, 15-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season in the Centennial Conference playoffs as F&M earned the #1 seed and hosting rights for the playoffs on May 6, 7 and 8. On May 6, the #3 seed will host the #4 in a single elimination playoff game at 3:00 p.m. The winner will advance to face the #2 seed at Caplan Field on May 7 at 11:00 a.m. in a single elimination game, before the winner of the game faces the Diplomats in a best of three series. On May 7, game one of the Centennial Conference championship series will begin at 3:00 p.m., with game two and three (if necessary) set for noon and approximately 3:00 p.m. starts on May 8.
