Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in April 4 Centennial Conference Baseball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College ranks among the leaders in the April 4 Centennial Conference baseball statistics.

As a team, the Diplomats rank second in stolen bases (39), batters struck out (116) and batters struck out looking (39), third in fielding percentage (.947) and hits (153), fourth in earned run average (5.13), fifth in runs scored (95) and batting average (.306)

Individually, Pat O’Reilly (Fr., Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) ranks sixth in total bases (31), ninth in batting average (.400) and 10th in slugging percentage (.620), while Gary Kruger (Jr., East Islip, NY/East Islip) ranks second in stolen bases (14) and third in on-base percentage (.515).

On the mound, Ted Serro (Jr., Brooklyn, NY/Xavier) ranks tenth in earned run average (3.71), fifth in opposing batting average (.206), seventh in batters struck out (21) and 10th in earned run average (3.71).

Jeremy Knox (Jr., Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) ranks fifth in strikeouts (22) and ninth in innings pitched (24.0), while Jeff Rowand (So., York, PA/Dallastown) ranks first in batters struck out looking (11) and 10th in innings pitched (23.0) and EJ Leary (Jr., Seymour, CT/Seymour) ranks seventh in strikeouts (21).

Franklin & Marshall (7-10, 1-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 5 at home versus Gettysburg College. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
