Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in April 11 Centennial Conference Baseball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College ranks among the leaders in the April 11 Centennial Conference baseball statistics.

As a team the Diplomats rank third in stolen bases (41), fourth in ERA (4.71), fifth in fielding percentage (.948) and sixth in hitting (.299), RBI (92), slugging percentage (.390), walks (62), triples (three) and home runs (six) and seventh in doubles (25).

Individually, Gary Kruger (Jr., East Islip, NY/East Islip) ranks second in walks (16), third in stolen bases (10) and eighth in hitting (.373), while Corey Caruthers (Jr., Conestoga, PA/Penn Manor) ranks second in sacrifice flies (four), eighth in stolen bases (seven) and hitting (.373) and Rob Stern (Fr., Franklin lakes, NJ/Indian Hills) ranks 11th in hitting (.368).

On the mound, EJ Leary (Jr., Seymour, CT/Seymour) ranks third in ERA (2.14) while Ted Serro (Jr., Brooklyn, NY/Xavier) ranks second in strikeouts (35) and eighth in innings pitched (29.1).

Franklin & Marshall College (10-8, 6-3 CC) will return to action on April 15 at home versus Haverford College. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
