Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in April 18 Centennial Conference Baseball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College ranks among the leaders in the April 18 Centennial Conference baseball statistics.

As a team, the Diplomats rank fifth in batting average (.306) and runs scored (95), fourth in ERA (5.13), third in fielding percentage (.947) and hits (153), second in stolen bases (39), batters struck out (116) and batters struck out looking (39).

Individually, Pat O’Reilly (Fr., Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) ranks ninth in batting average (.400), 10th in slugging percentage (.620) and sixth in total bases, while Gary Kruger (Jr., East Islip, NY/East Islip) ranks third in on-base percentage (.515) and second in stolen bases (14).

On the mound, Ted Serro (Jr., Brooklyn, NY/Xavier) ranks 10th in earned run average (3.71), fifth in opposing batting average (.206) and seventh in batters struck out (21). Jeremy Knox (Jr., Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) ranks ninth in innings pitched (24.0) and fifth in batters struck out (22), Jeff Rowand (So., York, PA/Dallastown) ranks 10th in innings pitched (23.0) and first in batters struck out looking, while EJ Leary (Jr., Seymour, CT/Seymour) ranks seventh in batters struck out (21).

Franklin & Marshall (16-12, 9-3 Centennial Conference) will return to action on April 19 at home versus Swarthmore College. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
