Franklin & Marshall Ranks Among Leaders in April 25 Centennial Conference Baseball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College ranks among the leaders in the April 25 Centennial Conference baseball statistics.

As a team, the Diplomats rank first in batters struck out (222), second in batters struck out looking (70), wins (20), saves (five), fielding percentage (.955), and putouts (783), third in assists (312), double plays (24), home runs (11), walks (129), stolen bases (79), ERA (4.07), and opposing batting average (.274) and fifth in batting average (.290), on base percentage (.373), runs scored (195), third in hits (298), RBI (171) and doubles (53).

Individually, Gary Kruger (Jr., East Islip, NY/East Islip) ranks first in runs (34) and walks (26), second in on base percentage (.504) and stolen bases (24) and eighth in batting average (.369) and hits (38).

Dan Hanecak (Jr., Conestoga, PA/Lancaster Catholic) ranks fourth in hits (40), sixth in batting average (.374) and eighth in doubles (10), while Corey Caruthers (Jr., Conestoga, PA/Penn Manor) ranks second in sacrifice flies (four) and fourth in stolen bases (12) and Tommy Miller (Fr., York, PA/Central York) ranks fourth in sacrifice bunts (three) and Eric Milavsky (Jr., Medford, NJ/Shawnee) ranks sixth in stolen bases (11).

Pat O’Reilly (Fr., Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) ranks seventh in chances (181) and putouts (172), while Miller ranks fifth in assists (69).

On the mound, Ted Serro (Jr., Brooklyn, NY/Xavier) ranks first in opposing batting average (.200), second in ERA (2.98) and strikeouts (51) and third in batters struck out looking (15) and wins (four). EJ Leary (Jr., Seymour, CT/Seymour) ranks fourth in ERA (3.12), fifth in strikeouts (40) and seventh in batters struck out looking (13). Jeff Rowand (So., York, PA/Dallastown) ranks third in wins (four), fourth in batters struck out looking (14), fifth in opposing batting average (.244) and sixth in ERA (3.45), while Jeremy Knox (Jr., Bronx, NY/Iona Prep) ranks tenth in ERA (3.75) and fifth in strikeouts (40). Dan Tischler (Fr., New York, NY/Horace Mann) ranks first in games finished (10), second in saves (three) and third in games in relief (12).

Franklin & Marshall (20-13, 13-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 26 at Elizabethtown College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
