Gallugi, O'Reilly & Kruger Play in Summer Baseball Leagues

LANCASTER, PA – Three members of the 2005 Centennial Conference champion Franklin & Marshall College baseball team are playing for a summer collegiate team. Two-time All-Centennial Conference third basemen Gary Kruger (Sr., East Islip, NY/East Islip) is hitting .281 in 32 at bats for the first place Fort Collins (CO) Foxes of the Mountain Collegiate League. He has scored nine runs with two doubles, two RBI, four walks and is a perfect five-for-five in stolen bases so far this season. This is the second season Kruger has played for an NCAA sanctioned baseball team as he played for the Berkshire Dukes of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) last summer. First basemen/designated hitter Pat O’Reilly (So., Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) is playing for the Protocol (NJ) Starz in the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League (ABCCL) where he has one hit in 15 plate appearances with two runs scored and four walks. Outfielder Rich Gallugi (So., Peabody, MA/Peabody) signed a temporary contract to play for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League. He has seen action in one game this season where he recorded a walk in one plate appearance. Gallugi’s contract with Falmouth is through the end of June.
