Diplomats Rank Among National Leaders in April 24 NCAA Baseball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Pitchers Jeremy Knox (Sr., Bronx, NY/Iona Prep), Ted Serro (Sr., Brooklyn, NY/Xaiver) and Matt Metsch (Fr., East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick), third baseman Gary Kruger (Sr., East Islip, NY/East Islip), outfielder Eric Milavsky (Sr., Medford, NJ/Shawnee) and the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats baseball team rank among the national leaders in the April 24 NCAA Baseball Statistics. As a team, the Diplomats are ranked eighth in earned run average (2.65 ERA), 18th in stolen bases (2.63 per game), 27th in win-loss percentage (75.0%), 80th in double plays (0.88 per game), 81st in batting average (.322) and 115th in strikeouts per nine innings (6.5 kpg) for their performance through games of April 23. Individually, Kruger leads the Diplomats at the plate as he ranks 85th in batting average (.427) and 32nd in triples (0.19 per game). The all-time hits leader in F&M history with 162, he ranks third in runs (114), second in RBI (91), second in triples (14), second in home runs (11) and first in stolen bases (83) in the history of the program. Milavsky is ranked 45th in stolen bases with 0.66 per game as he has stolen 21 bags this year. On the mound, Metsch ranks sixth in earned run average (0.86), first in win-loss (1.000) and 50th in victories (six) as he is 6-0 on the year, while Knox is eighth in victories (eight) and 83rd in earned run average (2.03) as he is 8-1 on the season. In addition, Serro is ranked 49th in ERA (1.61). Franklin & Marshall (24-8, 14-2 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 26 at York College of Pennsylvania. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
