Franklin & Marshall Ranks Seventh in May 4 NCAA Baseball Mid-Atlantic Region Poll

LANCASTER, PA – The 2006 Centennial Conference champion Franklin & Marshall College baseball team is ranked seventh in the May 4 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region baseball poll.

Ranked #13 in the nation and #2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the latest American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll, the Diplomats (28-9, 16-2 Centennial Conference) knocked off Haverford College 10-0 and 7-4 on May 6-7 to capture the Centennial Conference title.

The only Centennial Conference team ranked in the poll, the Diplomats trail The College of New Jersey, William Paterson, Montclair State, Kean and Rowan of the New Jersey Athletic Conference and Gwynedd-Mercy of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. In addition, F&M is ranked above Arcadia of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.

The Diplomats will continue the season on May 17-21 in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
