ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -- Mindy Nace scored the game winner with 10:55 left in the first half as the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays handed Franklin & Marshall its fourth straight shutout defeat on Wednesday. Previously, F&M had been shutout by Washington (3-0), Lebanon Valley (3-0) and Drew University (4-0) after defeating Juniata 1-0 in the season opener. Elizabethtown would tack on another goal with 2:29 left in the first half as Lisa Zbyszinski knocked in the insurance. F&M goalie Jenny Lindner (Jr., Northport, NY/Friends Academy) registered 22 saves on 31 Elizabethtown shots, including 14 stops in the second half. Overall, E-town would dominate in every statistical category, including an 18-7 advantage in penalty corners. F&M would attempt to climb back into the game in the second half, but none of the team's five shots in the frame would roll across the goal line. Espenshade would lead all players with six second half shots, while Nace recorded a game high eight shots to down the Diplomats. Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on Saturday with their second Centennial Conference home game of the season, as they will face the Mules of Muhlenberg College.
