Lindner Named to September 22 Centennial Conference Field Hockey Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Centennial Conference Executive Secretary Steve Ulrich announced today that Franklin & Marshall College goaltender Jenny Lindner (Jr., Northport, NY/Friends Academy) has been named to the conference field hockey honor roll for the week ending September 22. The announcement marks the second straight week that Lindner has earned the conference honor.

Lindner recorded 17 saves in a 0-2 week for F&M, including a 13-stop performance versus #5 nationally ranked Mary Washington on Sunday.

On the season, Lindner is among the Centennial's best goalies as she ranks second in saves (81), fourth in shutouts (1), eighth in goals against average (2.60) and sixth in save percentage (79.4).

She has been the keystone of an F&M defense which ranks eighth in the Centennial Conference allowing opponents 21 goals through 8 games.

Franklin & Marshall College (2-6, 1-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 26th with a home game versus Johns Hopkins University (2-3, 1-0 CC). The game will mark the 19th meeting with the Blue Jays as JHU holds a 12-5-1 advantage in the series. Hopkins has won eight straight over the Diplomats, including the last three by shutout.
