LANCASTER, PA - Lindsay Mohr (So. Pennsburg, PA/ Upper Perkiomen) scored once and added an assist as Franklin & Marshall College rolled past Haverford 5-0 in the Diplomats Centennial Conference season opener. F&M (2-2, 1-0 CC) controlled most of the game keeping the ball in the Fords half of the field. Brittany Croll (Fr. Frankford, DE/ Indian River) started the attack at the 28:37 mark of the first half by putting a shot past Haverford goalkeeper Amie Roe (Fr. Garden City, NY/ Garden City). The Diplomats would find the net two more times in the first period as Eileen Keever (Fr. Prospect Park, PA/ Interboro) took a feed from Mohr and slipped it in the net. With 10:25 showing on the clock Jen Hespell (Sr. Barto, PA/ Boyertown) accepted a pass from Ali Reindle (Sr. Fleetwood, PA/ Muhlenberg) to put the Diplomats up 3-0 going into halftime. F&M out shot the Fords in the first half 10-2 and senior goal keeper Jenny Lindner (Sr. Northport, NY/ Friends Academy) was uncontested with no shots on goal. The Diplomats added another score at 28:37 as Mohr chipped the ball into the net. The Fords could not muster a comeback as F&M found the net one more time in the period as Keever added her second goal of the contest for the 5-0 final. Overall, Franklin & Marshall out shot Haverford 22-6 and took the advantage on penalty corners 14-6. Lindner ended the game with two saves, while Michelle Altman (Fr. Trumbull, CT/ Trumbull) had three saves in 20:00 minutes of play for the Diplomats.
