Field Hockey Ranks Fourth in NCAA South Region Poll

LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team is among the nations best as they rank fourth in the NCAA South Region field hockey poll.

On defense, the Diplomats are led by goalie Jenny Lindner, (Sr., Northport, NY/Friends Academy) who leads the Centennial Conference in goals against average (.75), save percentage (.909) and shutouts (4). Further, she ranks 14th in the nation in goals against average (.75) and 11th in save percentage (.909).

As a team, F&M has given up six goals in eight games for a .75 average, which ranks them first in the Centennial Conference in scoring defense.

Offensively, the Diplomats have been led by freshmen Brittany Croll (Fr., Frankford, DE/Indian River) and Eileen Keever (Fr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro). Croll has five goals on the year for 10 points, while Keever has four goals for eight points. In addition, three of Keever's four goals have been scored in Centennial Conference play.

Lindsay Mohr (So., Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) and Jen Hespell (Sr., Barto, PA/Boyertown) have also played a key roll in the offense with Mohr recording two goals and three assists for seven points and Hespell chipping in three goals and one assist for seven points.

Franklin & Marshall returns to action on October 10 when they travel to Division II Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
