Reindle Named to November 4 Centennial Conference Field Hockey Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College forward Alison Reindle (Sr., Fleetwood, PA/Muhlenberg) has been named to the field hockey honor roll for the period of October 28th - November 3rd. In a 2-0 week for the Diplomats, Reindle scored a goal in a 2-0 win over Swarthmore and first F&M goal in a 2-1 victory over Gettysburg College as both goals were scored on penalty strokes. On Tuesday, Reindle connected on her fifth goal of the season, all on penalty strokes, to give the Diplomats a 1-0 double overtime victory over Dickinson and raise the Diplomats' record to 10-7 and 6-3 in the Centennial Conference. The victory clinched the first winning season in F&M field hockey history since the 1992 team went 13-6 under first year head coach Sue Shafritz. Further it locked up the #4 seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference field hockey playoffs for the Diplomats. F&M will continue the season on Saturday at #1 seed McDaniel (16-3, 7-2 CC) in the CC playoffs beginning at 11:00 a.m. In the other semi-final game, #2 seed Washington (10-7, 7-2 CC) will play #3 Johns Hopkins University (11-8, 6-3 CC) sixty minutes following the completion of the first game. The championship game will be held on Sunday beginning at noon on November 10th.
