Lindner Ranks Among Nation's Best Goaltenders in November 4 NFHCA Division III Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - Jenny Lindner (Sr., Northport, NY/ Friends Academy) ranks among the nation's best in goals against average and save percentage. Lindner, who leads the Centennial Conference in save percentage (.888) and ranks second in goals against average, ranks twelfth in the nation in save percentage and thirteenth in goals against average through games of November 3. Following a 1-0 double overtime victory over Dickinson on November 5, Lindner is averaging a .889 save percentage with a .749 goals against average with 12 goals allowed in 1,121 minutes of play. For her career, Lindner, who was converted to goaltender prior to her junior season, has allowed 44 goals in 2.397 minutes of play with 11 shutouts for a 1.28 goals against and .828 save percentage. Historically, the Diplomats' victory over Dickinson clinched the first winning season in F&M field hockey history since the 1992 team went 13-6 under first year head coach Sue Shafritz. F&M (10-7, 6-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season at 11 a.m. on Saturday at #1 seed McDaniel (16-3, 7-2 CC) in the CC playoffs. In the other semi-final game, #2 seed Washington (10-7, 7-2 CC) will play #3 Johns Hopkins University (11-8, 6-3 CC) sixty minutes following the completion of the first game. The championship game will be held on Sunday, November 10, beginning at noon.
