Four Diplomats Named to All-Centennial Conference Field Hockey Team

LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall field hockey team placed four players on the Centennial Conference 2002 All-Conference Field Hockey Team. Midfielder Alison Reindle (Sr., Fleetwood, PA/Muhlenberg) and back Lindsay Mohr (So., Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) earned first-team honors, while goaltender Jenny Lindner (Sr., Northport, NY/Friends Academy) earned second team and forward Brittany Croll (Fr., Frankford, DE/Indian River) received honorable mentions honors. Reindle, a second team recipient last year, made the Conference Honor Roll on November 4th for scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime to defeat Dickinson and lift the Diplomats into the CC playoffs. She was third on the team in scoring as she recorded five goals and four assists for 14 total points. For her career, she finished with 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points. Joining Reindle on the first team is Mohr. A mainstay on the Diplomat defense, she received CC honor roll mention on September 16th and October 7th as she helped the Diplomats finish the year ranked second in the Centennial Conference in scoring defense (.75 goals per game). In only her second year in the cage since being converted to goalie prior to her junior year, Jenny Lindner earned second team honors. Lindner who was named to the September 9th CC honor roll led the Conference in save percentage (.888), and finished second in the Conference in goals against average (.81) and shutouts (5). Among the region's best goalies, she will finish the year ranked among the nations leaders in save percentage and goals against average when the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association statistics are released later this week. Lindner will continue her season on Saturday, November 23 at Springfield College as she was selected to compete in the prestigious NFHCA Division III North-South All-Star Game. On the Honorable Mention squad, Croll earned honors after leading the Diplomats in scoring with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. A member of the September 30 Centennial Conference honor roll, she finished the year tied for eighth in goals (7) and ninth in points (17). Franklin & Marshall under head coach Melissa Reiss finished the season 10-8, 6-3 in the Centennial Conference for the first winning season in F&M field hockey history since the 1992 team went 13-6.
