F&M Places Six on 2002 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College, which advanced to the Centennial Conference field hockey playoffs, placed forwards Christine Corkran (So., Ellicott City, MD/Glenelg Country), Brittany Croll (Fr., Frankford, DE/Indian River), midfielder/forward Jen Hespell (Sr., Barto, PA/Boyertown) and midfielders Lindsay Klimik (Fr., Brick, NJ/Brick), Alison Reindle (Sr., Fleetwood, PA/Muhlenberg) and Elizabeth Onasch (So., Bowling Green, OH/Maumee Valley) on the 2002 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Academic Squad. Student-athletes selected to the NFHCA Academic Squad were nominated by their coaches and attained a minimum overall GPA of at least 3.30 through the first semester of the 2002-03 academic year. Franklin & Marshall under head coach Melissa Reiss finished the season 10-8, 6-3 in the Centennial Conference for the first winning season in F&M field hockey history since the 1992 team went 13-6.
