LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College forward Brittany Croll (So., Frankford, DE/Indian River) has been named to the Centennial Conference Field Hockey Honor Roll for the week of October 6-12. On Saturday, Croll scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 loss at Johns Hopkins University. In the first half, Hopkins jumped on the board first as Jenny Farrelly used a Hewitt assist to put the Blue Jays up 1-0 fourteen minutes into the contest. The Diplomats answered back with seven minutes to go in the half as Kate West (Fr., Washington, D.C./Groton) connected on a Croll assist to knot the score at 1-1. Three minutes later Rachel Callaway found the back of the cage on an unassisted goal to give JHU a 2-1 lead heading into halftime. The Blue Jays added to the lead seven minutes into the second half as Hewitt scored an unassisted goal to put Hopkins up 3-1 and ignite an unassisted scoring streak. Twenty-seven seconds later, Croll answered with an unassisted score to pull within a goal with just over 16 minutes left in the game. Following a Hopkins' score, Eileen Keever (So., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) knocked in the final goal for the 4-3 final. On the year, Croll has 10 goals and three assists for 23 points as she ranks third in goals (0.83) and points (1.92) per game to lead an offense which ranks fourth (2.58 gpg) in the latest Centennial Conference statistics. Franklin & Marshall (6-6, 2-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on October 14 at home versus McDaniel College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
