LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team is ranked sixth in the September 28 STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Coaches Poll. One of four Centennial Conference teams ranked in the Top 20 as Ursinus College ranks third, McDaniel is tied for 16th and Gettysburg ranks 19th, Franklin & Marshall improved to 7-1 with a 2-0 week as the Diplomats defeated Villa Julie (9-0 W) and Haverford (3-1 W). The National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll is voted upon by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2004 NCAA Division III Championship field. Franklin & Marshall (7-1, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 29 at home versus Ursinus College.
