LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team moved four spots to 12th in the October 19 STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Coaches Poll. Ranked eighth in the October 12 poll, the Diplomats went 1-1 last week in Centennial Conference action falling at McDaniel College 4-1 and defeating Bryn Mawr 6-1. Against the Owls, forwards Brittany Croll (Jr., Frankford, DE/Indian River) and Eileen Keever (Jr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) both recorded hat tricks as the Diplomats are outscoring opponents 47-21 this year. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll is voted upon by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2004 NCAA Division III Championship field. Franklin & Marshall (11-3, 5-2 CC) will return to action on October 20 at home versus Dickinson College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. October 19 STX/NFHCA Division III Field Hockey Poll 1.
