Keever, Croll, Jackowski & Mohr Named to 2004 All-Centennial Conference Field Hockey Team

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College forwards Eileen Keever (Jr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) and Brittany Croll (Jr., Frankford, DE/Indian River) and defenders Brynn Jackowski (Sr., Pottstown, PA/Pottstown) and Lindsay Mohr (Sr., Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) have been named to the 2004 All-Centennial Conference field hockey team.

Ranked #11 in the final STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll, the Diplomats garnered three first team and an honorable mention selection.

The leading scorer in the Centennial Conference, Keever earned first team honors as she leads the CC in goals (1.00 gpg) and points (2.45 ppg) and ranks sixth in assists (.45) per game as she has scored 20-9-49.

The October 25 and September 7 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, the award marks the second time she has been honored by the Conference coaches with first team honors after garnering notice for tallying nine goals and four assists for 22 points as she now has 33-14-80 in her three-year career.

Joining Keever on the first team are Croll and Jackowski as the pair also rank among the Centennial Conference’s statistical leaders.

A second team All-CC selection in 2003, Croll ranks third in goals (.90) points (2.10) in the Centennial Conference as she has scored 18-6-42 this season.

A member of the September 7 womensfieldhockey.com honor roll for scoring twice in a 3-2 double overtime victory at Drew University, she is among the program’s all-time leading scorers as she has raised her career total to 36-14-86 to tie with Sandy Swope ’84 for sixth in career goals. Further, she is within two goals of fourth place (Ann Ricciuti ’80, 38) and 18 of shattering the program record the career record (Laura Kramedas ’80, 53).

Jackowski earned her first All-CC nod as she ranks 13th (three) in defensive saves as she anchored a Diplomats’ defense that allowed 1.34 goals per game, recorded six shutouts and 17 defensive saves in 20 games.

On the honorable mention team, Mohr recorded two goals and four assists for eight points this year to raise her career totals to nine goals and 12 assists for 30 points. The award marked the third time she was honored by the CC as she earned second team honors in 2003 and first team honors in 2002.

As a team, the Diplomats (16-4, 8-2 Centennial Conference) have experienced a record-breaking season as Franklin & Marshall has tied the wins (16) mark and established a new goal scoring (73) record while advancing to the Centennial Conference title game.

F&M, which defeated Dickinson 6-0 in the CC semifinals and fell 4-3 (OT) to Ursinus in the Conference title game, will return to action on November 10 at home versus #8 seed Lebanon Valley College in the opening round of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Field Hockey Tournament.

Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
