LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team is ranked #10 in the September 13 STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Coaches Poll. Ranked #11 in the final 2004 poll, Franklin & Marshall has opened the season 4-0 as the team has defeated CW Post (2-0 W), Drew (2-1 OT W), Elizabethtown (5-2 W) and #11 Lebanon Valley (3-2 OT W) as F&M received 432 votes in the poll. The Diplomats are one of three Centennial Conference teams ranked in the top 20 as Ursinus College (2-1) received 673 votes to rank #6 and Gettysburg picked up 321 votes to rank #13. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll is voted upon by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2005 NCAA Division III Championship field.
