Croll & Keever Named to North/South Senior All-Star Game

LANCASTER, PA - Forwards Brittany Croll (Sr., Lewes, DE/Cape Henelopen) and Eileen Keever (Sr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) have been named to the 2005 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game.

The game will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 9:30 a.m. on the campus of Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.

The Diplomats’ leading scorer with 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points, Croll leads the Centennial Conference in points (2.47 ppg) and game-winning goals (four), while ranking second in goals (1.0 gpg) and third in assists (0.47 apg) this season.

A member of the September 6, 12 and 19 October 24 Centennial Conference Honor Rolls, she has 51 goals and 21 assists for 123 points in her career to rank third in career goals at F&M, three shy of surpassing Laura Kramedas '80 (53) for the all-time lead and two short of passing Sue Bowen ’80 for second place.

A STX/NFHCA All-South Region first team and 2003 second team selection, Croll was named to the 2004 All-Centennial Conference first team as she scored 18-6-42 to combine with Keever for 38-15-91 to make up the best scoring tandem in the Centennial Conference as the duo led an offense which averaged 3.52 goals per game last season.

This year, Keever has tallied 10 goals and three assists for 23 points this year to rank second in goals and points to Croll.

The team’s 2004 Most Valuable Player, she was named an STX/NFHCA All-America second team and All-Centennial Conference first team selection.

Further, she was named to the 2004 STX/ NFHCA Division III All-South Region team as she led the Centennial Conference in goals and points with 20-9-49 this season.

A 2003 All-CC second team selection, she now has 43-17-103 in her four-year career as she is tied for fourth in goals with Donna Zaccaria ’85 in the program’s history.

Overall, Keever and Croll are part of a senior class which has led F&M to a 45-28 record over the last four seasons, including a 16-5 mark and an appearance in the Centennial Conference title match in 2004.
