Croll Named to Dartfish/NFHCA All-America Second Team

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall forward Brittany Croll (Sr., Lewes, DE/Indian River) has been named to the 2005 Dartfish/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America second team. The honor marks the second All-America selection for Franklin & Marshall as forward Eileen Keever (Sr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) was named to the womensfieldhockey.com All-America third team. A first team All-Region selection, Croll was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team as she repeated as a first team All-CC honoree after earning second team accolades in 2003. The Diplomats’ leading scorer with 16 goals and nine assists for 41 points, Croll led the Centennial Conference in shots per game (5.35 spg) and ranked second in shots (91), points (40), points per game (2.35 ppg), goals (16), goals per game (0.94 gpg), assists (eight), assists per game (0.47 apg) and game winning goals (four) through games of October 31. A member of the September 6, 12 and 19 October 24 Centennial Conference Honor Rolls, she concludes her career with 52 goals and 23 assists for 127 points to rank first in points in the program’s history. The 18th All-America in Franklin & Marshall field hockey history, she is one of five Centennial Conference players named to the NFHCA All-America team joining Ursinus College’s Ashley Ettinger (first team), Jessica Lamina (second team) and Karen Wendler (second team) and Gettysburg College’s Meg Goddu (third team). Franklin & Marshall concluded the season with a 12-7 record as the team finished with a #19 national ranking, a berth in the Centennial Conference and ECAC playoffs and a 6-4 record in Centennial Conference play.
