LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College center Steve Juskin (So., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) has been named to the Centennial Conference Honor Roll for games during the period November 16 through 18th. The 6-6 center averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds on his way to the Carl Witmeyer Most Valuable Player Award of the 35th Annual S. Woodrow Sponaugle Basketball Classic. Against Salem State, he tossed in 20 points with 13 rebounds as the Diplomats claimed their third straight Sponaugle title. In 35 tournaments, F&M has claimed 18 Sponaugle titles, while Lebanon Valley (5), Millersville (5), Elizabethtown (4), Alvernia (1), Goucher (1) and Juniata (1) have also claimed championships. In addition, with 12 points and four rebounds from Juskin and a game high 21 points and nine rebounds from All-American Alex Kraft (Sr., Lansdale, PA/Lansdale Catholic), head coach Glenn Robinson earned his 600th win courtesy an 85-61 defeat of Springfield College. Robinson became just the fourth Division III coach and 36th collegiate coach to win 600 career games. He is just the 13th active coach to reach the 600 plateau as he trails Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski by five wins. With 30 points in two games, Kraft moved past three players into eighth place on F&M's career scoring list. He now has 1,299 points and is just 34 shy of Phil Hoeker '89, who scored 1,333 points from 1986-89. Further, Kraft is ranked seventh all-time in the Centennial Conference in scoring, a total of 251 points behind sixth place Nate Brought '98 of Dickinson. In rebounding, the 2000 National Player of the Year candidate is 8th with 569 boards through 86 games, just 9 rebounds away from moving past three players and into sole possession of fifth place. Following a game against Elizabethtown College on November 20, F&M will continue the season on the road in the first road games of the 2001-02 season against Averett College, Gallaudet and the University of the Sciences at the Gallaudet Tournament on November 23 and 24th. Opening tip is set for 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd versus Averett.
