LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College forward Cas Thomas (Sr., Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) has been named to the January 15th Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Honor roll for the week of January 7-13. The honor marks the first time this year that the Centennial Conference Office has recognized Thomas for his all-around play. The team's leading scorer in an 81-51 win over Averett College earlier this season with 22 points, he ranks fourth on the team in points (10.3) and second in rebounds (6.6) per game this season. For his four year career, Thomas ranks 11th all-time in rebounds at the College with 585, and could become the 25th player in F&M history to record 1,000 career points as he now has 824 with nine regular season games remaining. In addition, he ranks fourth in career blocked-shots, nine shy of surpassing Ed Plakans '93 for second all-time at the College. F&M, ranked 10th in the latest Basketball America national Division III poll, is now 13-3, 3-1 in the Centennial Conference following a 62-56 overtime loss at Lebanon Valley College in non-conference play on Monday. Franklin & Marshall will look for its 14th win of the year when the Diplomats host Dickinson College on Saturday, January 19 in a women/men's double-header. Opening tip for the women's game is set for 2:00 p.m., with the men's game immediately following at 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
