CARLISLE, PA - Franklin & Marshall College point guard Duran Searles (Jr., Camden, NJ/Peddie School) hit nine-of-14 from the field, including three-of-seven from beyond the arc, and four-of-five at the free-throw line for 25 points as the Diplomats handled Dickinson College 90-68 in Centennial Conference men's basketball. With the win, F&M moves back into a tie for first place in the Centennial Conference Western Division with Gettysburg College. On January 18, F&M knocked off Gettysburg 63-52 in the first of two regular season meetings between the teams this year. The Diplomats never trailed in the game as F&M opened a 13-0 lead in the game's first 2:34 of play to build an insurmountable lead. Dickinson mustered a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 13-8, but it marked the last time the Red Devils were within single digits of the Diplomats who rattled off a 7-0 run to take a 20-5 lead. Ahead 43-26 at halftime courtesy 15 first-half points from guard Jackiem Wright (Jr., Sicklerville, NJ/Moorestown Friends) off five-of-nine shooting from beyond the arc, Searles dominated in the second half draining six-of-nine field goals, two-of-five from long range and three-of-three at the line for 17 points to power F&M to the squad's 15th win of the season. Center Steve Juskin (Jr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) added 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots, while Asaf Ganot (Sr., Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds as the Diplomats continued an 11 game winning streak since Dickinson's last series win in 1998. For his career, Ganot now has 98 blocks, two short of joining Juskin and two-time All-America selection Chris Finch '92 as the only players in school history to record triple-digit rejections. Overall, the Diplomats shot a blistering 55.6 percent from the field (35-of-63), 43.5 percent from long range (10-of-23) to best Dickinson which made 25-of-61 field goals (41.0 percent) and eight-of-25 from three-point range. For Dickinson, Matt Keys dropped in 17 points to lead the Red Devils. Brandon Karpo, Billy Hagan and Jon Schwadron added 14, 11 and 10 points as the Red Devils fall to 4-11, 0-5 in Centennial Conference play. Franklin & Marshall (15-2, 4-1 Centennial Conference) will return to action on January 29 at home versus Centennial Conference rival Johns Hopkins University. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
