Wright, Juskin & Diplomats Rank Among Nation's Best in January 27 NCAA Men's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College is ranked among the nation's best Division III teams in the January 27 NCAA Men's Basketball statistics for games through January 26.

Franklin & Marshall is ranked in scoring offense (87.2 ppg, ninth), scoring margin (22.4 ppg, second), field goal percentage (50.0, 13th), three-point field goal percentage (41.7, eighth), rebound margin (9.7 rpg, seventh) and winning percentage (88.2, eighth).

Individually, guard Jackiem Wright (Jr., Sicklerville, NJ/Moorestown Friends) is ranked 11th in three-point field goal percentage (45.9 percent, 51-of-111) and 29th in three-pointers per game (3.0), while center Steve Juskin (Jr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) rates third in the NCAA with 3.5 blocked shots per game (59 in 17 games).

Overall, Juskin recorded the third best performance in NCAA Division III during the 2002-03 season when he blocked eight shots versus Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on January 4.

Further, against #18 nationally ranked Johns Hopkins in an 84-57 rout, he swatted his 60th block of the year to reset his own school record of 59 established last year.

The Diplomats (16-2, 5-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the 100th season of intercollegiate men's basketball at Franklin & Marshall on February 1 at Centennial Conference opponent Washington College. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. in Chestertown, Maryland.
