Wright Named to January 6 Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College guard Jackiem Wright (Jr., Sicklerville, NJ/ Moorestown Friends) has been named to the Centennial Conference Honor Roll for the period of December 17th - January 5th. The honor marks the second time this year Wright has been named to the Conference Honor Roll as he was selected CC Player of the Week for connecting on 13-of-21 shots from the floor for a 30 points in a 93-70 rout of Muhlenberg College on December 7. Over a three game period during the holiday break, Wright averaged 21.3 points per game as the Diplomats handled Hobart (89-74), St. Mary's College of Maryland (112-67) and Lincoln University (91-60) to improve to 8-1 on the year. For his performance versus St. Mary's and Lincoln in the Rotary Tip-Off the New Year Tournament, Wright was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. Following a 16-point game versus St. Mary's in the opening round, Wright shot 12-of-21 from the field, including six-of-12 from three-point range, for a career high 34 points in a rout of Lincoln to finish the tournament with 50 points. On the season, Wright ranks among the Centennial Conference leaders in scoring (16.0, 7th), three-point field goal percentage (.469, 5th) and three point field goals made (30, 2nd). As a team the Diplomats rank among the CC's best in scoring offense (90.4, 1st), scoring defense (67.1, 2nd), scoring margin (+23.3, 1st), field goal percentage (.492, 1st), field goal percentage defense (.416, 1st), three-point field goal percentage (.416, 1st), three-point field goals made (7.44, 3rd), three point field goal percentage defense (.291, 2nd), rebounding offense (45.4, 1st), rebounding defense (35.2, 4th), rebounding margin (+10.2, 1st), blocked shots (7.22, 1st), assists (18.11, 1st), steals (10.22, 2nd), turnover margin (+3.89, 2nd), assist/turnover ratio (1.22, 1st), offensive rebounds (15.89, 2nd) and defensive rebounds (29.56, 1st). Franklin & Marshall will return to action on January 7 when they play host to Goucher College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
