WESTMINSTER, MD - Forward Asaf Ganot (Sr., Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) and center Steve Juskin (Jr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) recorded double-doubles to lead the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats to a 93-56 rout at McDaniel College in Centennial Conference play.

The rout marks the fifth straight 30 point victory for F&M which has defeated St. Mary's (112-67), Lincoln (91-60), Goucher (82-49), Alvernia (101-61) and McDaniel since returning from the holiday break and improves the Diplomats record to 11-1, 2-0 in Centennial Conference play.

On the court, Juskin terrorized the Green Terror by making 11-of-18 field goal attempts for 22 points, blocking two shots and pulling down 10 rebounds, while Ganot added 16 points and 10 boards as the Diplomats claimed their 11th straight win.

In the first half, F&M jumped out to a 5-1 lead behind a jumper by Juskin and a three-pointer by Jackiem Wright (Jr., Sicklerville, NJ/Moorestown Friends). McDaniel answered with a 13-3 run for a 14-8 lead, but F&M countered behind forward Bob Lynch (So., Richboro, PA/Council Rock) who canned a short jumper and a pair of free throws to put the Diplomats ahead 18-17.

McDaniel's Alan Hoyt hit a jumper to put the Green Terror ahead 19-18 before F&M point guard Duran Searles (Jr., Camden, NJ/Peddie School) drained an arching three-point basket to go ahead 21-19 with 9:54 left before halftime.

The Terror tied the game on a basket by Greg Hill but failed to regain the lead for the remainder of the contest as the Diplomats erupted for a 9-0 run behind a three-pointer and a pair of free throws by Ganot.

Following a field goal by Hoyt to cut F&M's lead to seven, the Diplomats used a 10-5 run to carry a 40-28 lead into intermission.

In the second half, Wright and Juskin took over the game with a combined 20 points as F&M outscored McDaniel 53-28. Inside, Juskin made five-of-six shots for 10 points and pulled down five rebounds, while Ganot converted on two-of-three shots for six points. On the wing, Wright stroked in three-of-five from the field, two-of-four from three-point range, for 10 points in 10 minutes.

Overall, Wright finished with 13 points off four-of-nine shooting, while Lynch chipped in eight points and six rebounds and Searles dished out seven assists and poured in eight points.

For McDaniel, Hill finished with 12 points, Jon Pearson added 10 and Hoyt pulled down six rebounds to lead the Terror.

The keys to the game for F&M were defensive rebounds and points in the paint. In rebounds, F&M pulled down 27 defensive boards to hold a 27-13 advantage off the Green Terror offensive glass. In the paint, Franklin & Marshall outscored McDaniel 32-10, including a 22-6 advantage in the second half.

Franklin & Marshall (11-1, 2-0 Centennial Conference) will return to action on January 13 when they play host to non-conference foe Lebanon Valley College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
