Juskin Named January 13 Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College center Steve Juskin (Jr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) has been named Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of January 6th - 13th.

The honor marks the third time this year Juskin has been honored by the Conference as he was selected to the CC Honor Roll on November 25 and December 6.

In three wins last week, Juskin averaged 17.6 points per game, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots as the Diplomats improved to 11-1, 2-0 in Centennial Conference play.

Versus Goucher College, he tallied 17 points off seven-of-11 from the field, pulled down six rebounds and blocked five shots in an 82-49 win. Three days later, he chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and five blocks as the Diplomats routed host Alvernia College 101-61.

He concluded the week versus McDaniel College draining 11-of-18 from the field for 22 points with 10 rebounds to pace a 93-56 win.

For his career, Juskin has 775 points, 393 rebounds, 99 assists and a school record 153 blocked shots, 50 more than runner-up and two-time All-America selection Chris Finch '92.

On the season, Juskin ranks among the Centennial Conference leaders in scoring (16.9, 5th), rebounding (7.6, 7th), field goal percentage (.506, 12th), blocked shots (3.75, 1st), offensive rebounds (2.08, 13th) and defensive rebounds (5.50, 6th) per game.

As a team the Diplomats rank among the CC's best in scoring offense (90.8, 1st), scoring defense (64.2, 1st), scoring margin (+26.7, 1st), field goal percentage (.507, 1st), field goal percentage defense (.391, 1st), three-point field goal percentage (.427, 1st), three-point field goal percentage defense (.282, 1st), rebounding offense (44.4, 1st), rebounding defense (33.7, 3rd), rebounding margin (+10.8, 1st), blocked shots (7.42, 1st), assists (19.25, 1st), steals (9.92, 2nd), turnover margin (+4.17, 2nd), assist/turnover ratio (1.29, 1st), offensive rebounds (14.83, 2nd), defensive rebounds (29.58, 2nd) and three-point field goals made (7.50, 2nd)

Franklin & Marshall will return to action on January 13 when they play host to Lebanon Valley College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
