Diplomats Rank Among Nation's Best in January 13 NCAA Men's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College is ranked among the nation's best Division III teams in the January 13 NCAA Men's Basketball statistics for games through January 12. F&M (12-2, 2-1 Centennial Conference), is ranked in scoring offense (90.8 ppg, fifth), scoring margin (26.7 ppg, third), field goal percentage (50.7, 11th), three-point field goal percentage (42.7, eighth) and rebound margin (10.8 rpg, sixth). Individually, guard Jackiem Wright (Jr., Sicklerville, NJ/Moorestown Friends) is ranked 16th in three-point field goal percentage (47.9 percent, 39-of-83) and 20th in three-point field goals per game (3.3). On defense, center Steve Juskin (Jr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) rates fourth in the NCAA with 3.8 blocked shots per game. Overall, Juskin recorded the third best performance in NCAA Division III during the 2002-03 season when he blocked eight shots versus Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on January 4. The total is one off the national best of nine set by Aurora's Charles Simmons and Amherst's Pat Fitzsimons. Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on January 18 at home versus Gettysburg College. In their last meeting, Gettysburg edged the Diplomats 50-47 in Lancaster for the 2002 Centennial Conference Championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
