Smith Named to January 19 Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College guard/forward Brandon Smith (So., Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) has been named to the January 19 Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Honor Roll.

In a 3-0 week, Smith averaged 10.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 steals per game as the Diplomats (12-2, 7-0 Centennial Conference) remained in first place in the 10 team Centennial Conference. Against Washington College, he tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds as F&M rolled to an 84-64 victory.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, he ranks among the CC leaders in scoring (12.0 ppg, 21st), rebounding (6.1 rpg, 11th), steals (1.93 spg, 2nd), three-point field goal percentage (.397, 9th), three-pointers made (1.64 3pg, 12th), blocked shots (.86 bpg, 9th), offensive rebounds (2.14 rpg, 7th) and defensive rebounds (3.93 rpg, 13th).

Individually the Diplomats starting "five" rank a top the conference as point guard Duran Searles (Sr., Camden, NJ/Peddie School) rates in scoring (12.2 ppg, 20th), assists (3.36 apg, 5th), free throw percentage (.755, 14th), steals (1.79 spg, 3rd), three-point field goals made (1.86 3pg, 10th) and assist/turnover ratio (1.52, 5th). Guard Jackiem Wright (Sr., Sicklerville, NJ/Moorestown Friends) ranks in scoring (12.9 ppg, 15th), assists (2.50 apg, 13th), three-point field goal percentage (.380, 15th), three-point filed goals made (2.71 3pg, 3rd) and assist/turnover ratio (2.06, 2nd).

Down low, forward Bobby Lynch (Jr., Richboro, PA/Council Rock) ranks in scoring (16.0 ppg, 5th), rebounding (6.8 rpg, 5th), field goal percentage (.600, 2nd), free throw percentage (.773, 13th), blocked shots (.86 bpg, 9th), offensive rebounds (2.93 rpg, 2nd) and defensive rebounds (3.86 rpg, 15th), while center Steve Juskin (Sr., East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) ranks in scoring (13.6 ppg, 13th), rebounding (6.6 rpg, 7th), field goal percentage (.525, 10th), blocked shots (4.21 bpg, 1st), assist/turnover ratio (1.17, 10th), offensive rebounds (2.07 rpg, 8th) and defensive rebounds (4.50 rpg, 6th).

Ranked #17 in the January 20 D3hoops.com poll, Franklin & Marshall ranks among the CC team leaders in scoring offense (81.4 ppg, 1st), scoring defense (66.4 ppg, 2nd), scoring margin (+15.0 ppg, 1st), field goal percentage (.496, 1st), three-point field goal percentage (.372, 3rd), rebounding offense (38.6 rpg, 1st), rebounding defense (31.5 rpg, 3rd), rebounding margin (+7.1, 1st), blocked shots (6.71 bpg, 1st), assists (17.36 apg, 1st), steals (8.43 spg, 4th), turnover margin (+3.71, 3rd), assist to turnover ratio (1.13, 1st), offensive rebounds (13.79 rpg, 2nd), defensive rebounds (24.86 rpg, 4th) and three-point field goals made (7.36 3pg, 4th).

The Diplomats will return to action on January 21 when they travel to Dickinson College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
