LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College men's basketball team's opponent for the upcoming Centennial Conference playoffs will be determined this evening as Haverford will visit Gettysburg at 7:30 p.m. in a play-in game for the #4 seed in the playoffs. The change occurred last evening as the Presidents of the Centennial Conference member institutions approved an appeal from Haverford regarding the interpretation of the basketball tie-breaking criteria by the Executive Director and the Board of Delegates. The winner of the game will receive the #4 seed in the CC semifinals opposite #1 seed and host Franklin & Marshall on Saturday thirty minutes following the conclusion of a 1:30 p.m. semifinal game between #2 Ursinus and #3 Johns Hopkins. On Sunday, the CC playoffs will conclude with the title game scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at F&M's Mayser Center. The rule in question reads: Tie-Breaker Format 1. Head-to-Head Conference competition; 2. Team with the best record vs. teams in descending order of standing (1st place, 2nd, etc.); 3. Play-in game. There will be no play-in games to determine seeds 1, 2 or 3. A play-in game will only be contested for the fourth and final seed. The criteria will be used to determine the home team. 4.
