Smith Named to All-Centennial Conference Men's Basketball First Team

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall guard/forward Brandon Smith (Sr., Reading, PA/Governor Mifflin) has been named to the All-Centennial Conference men’s basketball first team. The honor marks the second time Smith has earned All-Centennial Conference first team honors as he was recognized last season and is the 17th first team All-Centennial Conference selection for the Diplomats in the 13 year history of the Conference. The November 28 and January 3 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, he ranks among the Conference leaders in scoring (second, 17.8 ppg), steals (third, 2.00 spg), rebounding (fourth, 7.8 rpg), assists (fifth, 3.60 apg), blocked shots (eighth, 1.00 bpg), minutes played (10th, 31.56 mpg), three-point field goals (11th, 1.76 tpg), three-point field goal percentage (12th, .349) and field goal percentage (15th, .471) as he tallied 444 points, 196 rebounds, 90 assists, 25 blocks and 50 steals this season. Overall, Smith concludes his career with 1,543 points, 681 rebounds, 204 steals, 268 assists, 163 three-pointers and 73 blocked shots as he ranks sixth in rebounds, second in steals and fifth in three-pointers in school history and 10th in scoring, 12th in rebounding and 15th in three-pointers in Centennial Conference history as he helped lead the team to three Centennial Conference title games, the 2004 Centennial Conference championship and an NCAA “Elite Eight” run and the 2003 and 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference title during the last four seasons.
