Sartorius Named to March 18th Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Lancaster, PA--- The Centennial Conference office announced Wednesday, that Alexis O' Meara (Fr., Annapolis, MD/Severn School), Jen Fried (So., Reisterstown, MD/Franklin), Kerry McAuliffe (Jr., Norristown, PA/Methacton) and Mike Sartorius (Fr., Summit, NJ/Summit) were named to the Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week of March 18th.

O' Meara, an attack wing for the women's lacrosse team, earned the award after scoring seven goals and dishing out three assists in a 2-0 week for Franklin & Marshall. She tallied three goals and three assists against #18 Rowan and registered four goals against #13 Washington & Lee.

She is first on her team in goals (13), tied for first in points (19) and second on the team in assists (6). In four games, O’Meara is averaging 3.25 goals per game and 4.25 points per game, ranking her 7th and 8th in the Conference, respectively. The Diplomats are tied for first in the Conference having defeated conference rival Haverford earlier in the season.

Sophomore softball outfielder Fried earned the honor for leading her team to a 7-6 record. Over the course of thirteen games, Fried leads the squad in batting with a .429 average, while stroking eighteen hits, three doubles and stealing six bases. The outfielder currently has a slugging percentage of.488 and leads the team in total bases with twenty-one.

Pitcher McAuliffe was named to the softball pitchers' honor roll after totaling five wins in her first eight starts. Overall, the pitcher is 5-3 and has pitched seven complete games, including both games of a doubleheader against Eastern College, totaling 49.2 innings with twenty-one strikeouts and just six walks. During that time span, she went 21 innings without issuing a walk and leads the team in era with a 3.62 average.

Goalie Sartorius was named to the men’s lacrosse honor roll after a strong week in the goal. The freshman goalkeeper made fifteen saves against #5 Washington & Lee earlier this week, despite his team’s 10-6 loss.

Founded in 1787, Franklin & Marshall College is a coeducational, liberal arts institution. F&M supports 26 intercollegiate athletic teams, all on the NCAA Division III level except wrestling (NCAA Division I) and men’s and women’s squash (independent). F&M also supports numerous club and intramural activities for both men and women.
