Kuskowski Tallies Five Assists as Diplomats Down Haverford in Men's Lacrosse, 15-8

HAVERFORD, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College's Andrew Kuskowski (Sr., Huntington, NY/Huntington) handed out five assists and netted a goal as the Diplomats defeated Centennial Conference opponent Haverford College in men's lacrosse, 15-8.

For Kuskowski, the assists tied a season high as he dished out five scoring passes in a 14-9 win over Colorado College on Thursday.

Offensively, the Diplomats drove down the field on the Fords' consistently to hold a 6-3 lead at halftime before sealing the game with a 6-4 run in the third period.

Overall, Beau Smith (Jr., Baltimore, MD/Gilman) led the team with four goals and Steve Welsh (Fr., Lewes, DE/Cape Henelopen) chipped in three goals and an assist. Jon Singer (Jr., Reisterstown, MD/Boys Latin) and Bryan Nolan (Jr., Scottsdale, AZ/Western Reserve) notched two goals, while Bas Solleveld (So., Glenmoore, PA/Shipley), Colin Hanley (Fr., Davidsonville, MD/DeMatha), Bryan Kobel (Sr., Franklin Lakes, NJ/Don Bosco) and Kuskowski found the back of the net with solo tallies for the Diplomats.

In net, F&M goalies Mike Sartorius (Fr., Summit,NJ/Summit) and Will McIntire (Fr., Arlington, VA/Taft) split time to record six saves, while Haverford's Matt Montgomery stopped 14 of F&M's 47 season high 47 shots on goal.

The victory improves F&M's record to 15-1 all-time against the Fords, as the Diplomats suffered their sole loss to Haverford during the 1998 season in Lancaster.

Franklin & Marshall (4-3, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on March 27 at Goucher College. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
