LANCASTER, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College midfielder Jon Singer (Sr., Reisterstown, MD/Boys' Latin) has been selected to play for the South in the prestigious United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/STX North-South All-Star Game at Sacred Heart University on Saturday, June 7 in Fairfield, Connecticut.

An NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship candidate, Singer topped the team in scoring with 26-30-56 as he led the program to a 12-4 record, a #9 national ranking and a berth in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse quarterfinals while earning All-Centennial Conference first team honors.

A 2001 Honorable Mention and 2002 Second Team All-CC recipient, Singer led the team in goals scored in 2002 (24) and 2001 (27) to conclude his career at the College with 92-55-147.

A 2003 Pre-Season All-America honorable mention selection, he led the Diplomats to the 2002 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship as a junior for the program's first post-season title since claiming the Middle Atlantic Conference championship in 1990.

The honor marks the second straight year a Diplomat will appear in the North-South Game as defenseman Chris Schellhorn '02 appeared in the 2002 game at Johns Hopkins University last year. Schellhorn's participation marked F&M's first inclusion since 1996 when attackmen Chris Mergadt '96, Don Gervais '96 and midfielder Jeremy Nierman '96 were named to the South team after leading the Diplomats to a 9-4 record.

The Division III contest begins at 12:00 p.m. on Sacred Heart's Campus Field.
