Sartorius & Diplomats Rank Among Nation's Best in March 14 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College goalie Mike Sartorius (Jr., Summit, NJ/Summit) and the team's defense rank among the nation's best in the March 14 NCAA men's lacrosse statistics.

Between the pipes, Sartorius is ranked 18th in the nation in goals against average (6.22 gpg) and save percentage (0.673) as he allowed 20 goals as the Diplomats opened the season 2-1 with wins at Marymount (15-4 W) and over Washington & Lee (5-3 W) while being upset at Stevens Institute of Technology (13-11 L).

Following neutral site wins over Keene State (13-10 W) and Denison (12-10 W) last week, Sartorius is now allowing 8.02 goals per game with a 0.624 save percentage as he has allowed 38 goals while making 63 saves in 284 minutes of play.

Overall, Sartorius is the anchor of the #18 nationally ranked scoring defense as F&M was allowing 6.67 goals per game through March 14.

Following the team's wins, the Diplomats rank fifth in scoring offense (56, 11.20 gpg), fourth in scoring defense (40, 8.00 gpg), fourth in man-up percentage (eight-of-21, 38.1%) and fifth in man-down percentage (22-of-31, 71.0%) in the latest Centennial Conference rankings.

Ranked #10 in the March 22 STX/USILA Division III Poll, Franklin & Marshall (4-1, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on March 24 at Goucher. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
