Welsh Named to March 14 Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College attackman Steve Welsh (Sr., Lewes, DE/Cape Henelopen) has been named to the March 14 Centennial Conference Men’s Lacrosse Honor Roll. In a 0-1 week, he scored a goal and assisted on the tying goal as he flipped a pass to attackman Noah Wilkinsky (Fr., Ardmore, PA/Valley Forge Military) who ripped a shot into the net to force overtime with 37 seconds left on the game clock as F&M fell to #4 Washington & Lee 7-6 in overtime. For his career, he now has 69 goals and 73 assists for 142 points as he ranks ninth in assists and 10th in points in the history of Franklin & Marshall lacrosse. In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, he ranks third in assists (2.00 apg) and sixth in points (3.67 ppg) per game as he has scored five goals and six assists for 11 points in three games. Further, he leads a Diplomats' team which ranks second in ground balls (44.67 gbpg) and face-off percentage (.709), third in man-up goals (1.67 gpg), goals against average (6.93 gpg), saves (13.00 spg), save percentage (.639) and shots on goal (21.33 spg), fifth in goals (8.67 gpg), points (12.33 ppg), shots (31.33 spg), shot percentage (.277) and man-up scoring percentage (.267), seventh in assists (3.67 apg) and penalties (5.67 ppg), eighth in penalty-killing percentage (.647) and ninth in penalty minutes (5.50 mpg). Franklin & Marshall (2-1, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on March 16 versus Kenyon College in Orlando, Florida. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
