Capone Named to March 28 Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College face-off specialist Matt Capone (Sr., Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) has been named to the March 28 Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll.

In a 9-7 win at Ursinus College, Capone won 14-of-18 face-offs to lead the Diplomats to a 1-0 mark in Centennial Conference play.

On the year, Capone is 92-of-120 on face-offs (76.7%) and has one goal as he has raised his career numbers to 590-for-752 on face-offs for a 78.46 percentage with two goals and one assist for three points.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, he is ranked first in ground balls (6.83 gbpg) and face-off percentage (.767).

Further, he leads a Diplomats' team which ranks first in ground balls (44.67 gbpg), save percentage (.651) and shots on goal (25.50 spg), second in shots (36.67 spg) and saves (14.00 spg), third in assists (6.17 apg), man-up goals (1.33 pg) and goals against average (7.29 gpg), fourth in points (16.50 ppg), fifth in goals (10.33 gpg), man-up percentage (.212) and penalties (4.83 ppg), sixth in shooting percentage (.282) and penalty-killing percentage (.704) and seventh in penalty minutes (4.33 pg).

Franklin & Marshall (5-1, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 2 in the home opener versus Haverford College. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
