LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall attackmen Steve Welsh (Sr., Lewes, DE/Cape Henelopen) and Cyrus Adams (So., Nashville, TN/Montgomery Bell) and goalkeeper Mike Sartorius (Sr., Summit, NJ/Summit) rank among the national leaders in the May 2 NCAA men’s lacrosse statistics. Welsh ranks third in assists (3.38 apg) and 12th in points (4.77 ppg) in the NCAA statistics as he has tallied 18 goals and 44 assists for 62 points in 13 games. For his career, he has 82 goals and 111 assists for 193 points as he ranks second in assists and fifth in points in school history. Adams ranks 16th in goals (3.15 gpg) as he has 41 goals and five assists for 46 points in 13 games to raise his career totals to 50 goals and eight assists for 58 points. In goal, Sartorius ranks 10th in goals against average (7.34 gpg) as he has allowed 88 saves with 144 saves for a .621 save percentage in 719 minutes of play. The F&M career leader in saves with 667, he holds an 8.05 goals against average and .607 save percentage in 3264 minutes of play. #19 Franklin & Marshall (9-4, 5-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on May 6 at Gettysburg College in the semifinals of the 2005 Centennial Conference men’s lacrosse playoffs.
