LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College men's soccer team has been selected to finish fourth in the quest for the Centennial Conference (CC) title according to a poll of the CC head coaches. Overall, Johns Hopkins was selected as the favorite to win the CC title in 2005 as the Blue Jays received eight out of a possible 10 first-place votes (teams not permitted to vote for themselves) for 80 points. Muhlenberg and McDaniel earned the second and third spots with 67 and 57 points, respectively, while the Mules also received one first place vote. Gettysburg finished fifth with 52 points, Swarthmore placed sixth with 47 points and first place vote and Dickinson was seventh with 37 points. Washington (21), Haverford (20) and Ursinus (13) round out the poll. Leading the team into the new season will be 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region second team forward Brandon Corday (So., Morton Grove, IL/Niles Township). A first team All-Centennial Conference selection last year, Corday made history becoming the first F&M player and 15th player in Centennial Conference history to earn All-CC first or second team honors as a freshman.
