Wilson Named October 17 ECAC Mid-Atlantic Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College back Ben Wilson (Sr., Lititz, PA/Lititz Christian) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Men’s Soccer Co-Player of the Week for his play during the period of October 10-16.

The October 17 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, he scored three goals and added an assist as the Diplomats defeated Susquehanna (3-2 W 2OT) and Ursinus (3-0 W) in a 2-1 week. Against Ursinus, he scored twice as he netted goals at 3:03 and 58:20 to improve F&M to 5-4-3, 3-3 in the Centennial Conference.

Versus Susquehanna, he netted the game’s first goal off an assist from Dave Heller (Sr., Somers, NY/North Salem) at the 31:16 mark before assisting forward Brandon Corday (So., Morton Grove, IL/Niles Township) to knot the score at 2-2 at the 74:41 mark and force overtime.

On the year, Wilson leads the Diplomats in points (11), goals (five) and game-winning goals (three) as he has tallied the game-winner versus Lebanon Valley (2-1 W), Muhlenberg (3-0 W) and Ursinus.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, he ranks first in game winning goals (three), fourth in goals (five) and fifth in points (11).

For his career, Wilson has seven goals and two assists for 16 points as he entered the 2005 season with two goals and one assist in his first three seasons with the Diplomats.

Franklin & Marshall (5-4-3, 3-3 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 19 at Rutgers University-Camden. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
