#12 F&M-#15 Navy to Clash on February 8 in Men's Squash

LANCASTER, PA – #12 Franklin & Marshall College will weigh anchor at home and take on #15 The United States Naval Academy in men’s squash on February 8 in the Mayser Center.

The Diplomats enter the match 12-7 following a 9-0 victory over Colgate University on February 5. Overall, Franklin & Marshall has won eight of its last 10 matches with victories over St. Lawrence University (9-0 W), Connecticut College (9-0 W), Bates College (6-3 W), Bowdoin College (6-3 W), Haverford College (9-0 W), Tufts College (7-2 W), Hamilton College (9-0 W) and Colgate.

Navy sails into Lancaster with an 18-5 record following a 9-0 win over Colgate on February 4. The Midshipmen are 7-3 in their last 10 matches knocking off MIT (9-0 W), Colby College (6-3 W), Tufts College (5-4 W), Haverford College (9-0 W), University of Rochester (9-0 W), Hobart College (9-0 W) and Colgate.

The match will mark the second time F&M and Navy have clashed this season, as the Diplomats sank the Mids 6-3 in Annapolis on November 6 in an exhibition match.

Historically, Navy holds a 29-13 advantage in the series as the Mids have won the last two meetings between the programs since F&M recorded a 6-3 victory on February 20, 2004.

Match time is set for 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
