LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College men’s squash team recorded three 3-1 victories as the #12 nationally ranked Diplomats knocked off #15 Navy 6-3 at the Mayser Center.

The Diplomats improved to 13-7 on the year and 9-2 in their last 11 matches as Franklin & Marshall previously defeated St. Lawrence University (9-0 W), Connecticut College (9-0 W), Bates College (6-3 W), Bowdoin College (6-3 W), Haverford College (9-0 W), Tufts College (7-2 W), Hamilton College (9-0 W) and Colgate University (9-0 W) before sinking the Midshipmen.

Franklin & Marshall dominated the top of the order as Rushabh Vora (Fr., Mumbai, Maharashtra/HR College Commerce & Economic) handled Tucker George 3-0 (9-1, 9-7, 9-5) at #1 before Satyajit Seshadri (Jr., Chennai, India/Gill Adarsh) dropped Jeff Swain 3-1 (9-4, 9-7, 7-9, 9-4) at #2. Jehangir Aibara (Jr., Mumbai, Maharashtra/Doon School) stopped Scott Hackman 3-0 (9-5, 9-7, 10-9) at #3, Seth Cruice (So., Darien, CT/Greens Farms Academy) tallied a 3-1 (7-9, 9-1, 9-5, 9-5) win over Christopher Zipf at #6, Patrick Pasquariello (Fr., Gladwyne, PA/Episcopal Academy) handled Patrick Kruse 3-1 (9-4, 7-9, 9-4, 9-5) at #7 and Shane Slater (Fr., St. Vincent & the Grenadines/St. Vincent School) recorded a 3-1 (9-1, 1-9, 9-2, 9-1) victory at #8 over Michael John Beautyman to wrap up the victory for the Diplomats.

Navy, which falls to 18-6 and 7-4 in its last 11 matches, picked up wins at #4-5 and #9 as Alastair Smith and Dhruv Parashar picked up 3-0 victories at #4 and #5, respectively, while Brian Hamilton won 3-0 at #9.

The match marked the second time F&M and Navy clashed this season, as the Diplomats torpedoed the Midshipmen 6-3 in Annapolis on November 6 in an exhibition match.

Historically, Navy now holds a 29-14 advantage in the series as the Mids had won the last two meetings between the programs since F&M recorded a 6-3 victory on February 20, 2004.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on February 11 versus Penn State University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
