Diplomats Handle Bates 6-3 in Men's Squash

NEW HAVEN, CT – Satajit Seshadri (Jr., Chennai, India/Gill Adarsh) and Shane Slater (Fr., St Vincent & the Grenadines/St. Vincent) picked up 3-2 wins at #2 and #8, respectively, to lead the Franklin & Marshall College men’s squash team to a 6-3 victory over Bates College at Yale University.

Seshadri jumped out to leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in his match before edging out Sean Willkinson 9-6, 4-9, 9-5, 5-9, 9-7, while Slater rolled to a 2-0 lead and held off Charlie Johnson 10-9, 9-6, 5-9, 8-10, 9-6.

Jehangir Aibara (Jr., Mumbai, Maharashatra/Doon School), Ed Bryan (Sr., Katonah, NY/Choate Rosemary) and Seth Cruice (So., Darien, CT/Greens Farms Academy) picked up 3-1 wins at #3, #5 and #6, respectively, while Evan Burton (Sr., Atlanta, GA/Cranbrook Kingswood) stopped Guillermo Moronta 3-0 at #9 as the Diplomats improved to 4-4 all-time against Bates.

Franklin & Marshall (6-5) will return to action on January 22 versus Bowdoin College at Yale University.
