Franklin & Marshall Falls to Shepherd & York in Men's Tennis

LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College men’s tennis team fell to Shepherd College and York College of Pennsylvania on March 22-23 at the Hempfield Area Recreation Center.

Playing at Hempfield while the Diplomats’ new tennis courts are completed, Franklin & Marshall fell 4-3 to Division II Shepherd on March 22

The Diplomats recorded victories at #3, #5 and #6 singles, but Shepherd took the #1 and #3 doubles matches to hang on for the victory.

Against York College on March 23, Josh McGuiness (So., West Trenton, NJ/Peddie School) notched a 6-0, 6-3 victory at #5 singles for the Diplomats victory as F&M fell to 1-5 on the year.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on March 25 at Hempfield verus McDaniel College in the Centennial Conference season opener. Match time is set for 2:30 p.m.
