Franklin & Marshall Overpowers McDaniel 7-0 in Men's Tennis

LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College men’s tennis team rolled over McDaniel College 7-0 in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams at the Hempfield Area Recreation Center courts. Playing at Hempfield while the Diplomats’ new tennis courts are completed, Franklin & Marshall improved to 41-1 against the Green Terror as the Diplomats have a 38 match winning streak dating back to a loss in 1959. The closest match of the day occurred at #1 as Alex Levy (Jr., West Windsor, NJ/Lawrenceville School) held off Brian Kastner 6-1, 6-7 (7-4), 10-5. The Diplomats swept the remaining matches as Ben Michelman (So., Severna Park, MD/Severn School) won 6-0, 6-0 at #2, Ben Hart (Fr., Princeton, NJ/George School) 6-3, 7-5 at #3, Seth Cruice (Fr., Darien, CT/Greens Farms) 6-1, 6-0 at #4, Josh McGuinness (Fr., West Trenton, NJ/Peddie School) 6-1, 6-3 at #5 and Colin Chang (Fr., Sandy, UT) 6-0, 6-0 at #6. Franklin & Marshall (2-5, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on March 29 at Gettysburg College in Centennial Conference competition.
