WESTMINSTER, MD – Jon Brallier (Jr., Chambersburg, PA/Mercersburg Academy) cleared 14’-1.25” to earn All-Centennial Conference honors by winning the pole vault and lead Franklin & Marshall College to seventh place through day two of the 2006 Centennial Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by McDaniel College. Overall, Brallier won his second straight pole vault title as he cleared 15’-04.25” (4.68 meters) to obliterate the school and conference meet records in the pole vault as last year’s championship meet hosted by Muhlenberg College. In addition to Brallier, Zach Barninger (Jr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York) tied for third in the pole vault with a height of 13’-9.25” as the Diplomats recorded 15.5 team points in the event. Graham Kincade (Sr., Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 42.65 meters for four points, while the 4X800 meter relay team of Chris Didizian (Jr., Penn Valley, PA/Haverford Schooi), Harrison Miller (So., Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill), Jeremy Alexander (Fr., Ambler, PA/Wissahickon) and Aldace Fleming (Sr., Ridgefield, PA/Ridgefield) placed sixth in a time of 8:23.36 for three points as the Diplomats concluded the second day of competition with 22.5 team points. In other top finishes, Jake Gomolinski (So., Middletown, NY/Pine Bush Central) qualified fourth in the 100 meters (11.25) and third in the 200 meters (22.46), while Mike Arnold (So., Kresgeville, PA/Pleasant Valley) qualified fourth in the 110 meter hurdles (15.81).
