Diplomats Place 26th at NCAA Men's Mid-East Region Cross Country Championship

CARLISLE, PA – Harrison Miller (So., Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill) crossed the finish line 28:03 over the eight kilometer course to place 82nd and lead the Franklin & Marshall College men’s cross country team to a 26th place of 42 teams at the 2005 NCAA Mid-East Region Championship hosted by Dickinson College.

The Diplomats defeated York College, Lebanon Valley College, Ursinus College, Albright College, Goucher College, Waynesburg College, Marywood University, Pitt-Greensburg, Gwynedd Mercy College, Westminster College, Hood College, Alvernia College, Thiel College and LaRoche College as Franklin & Marshall accumulated 721 points.

Pavel Marosin (So., Jackson Heights, NY/Francis Lewis) placed 131st in 28:50.6, Chris Desilets (So., Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) 165th in 39:35.3, Aldace Fleming (Sr., Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) 175th in 29:56.0, Joe Burley (Fr., Laurel Springs, NJ/Highland Regional) 183rd in 30:05.5 and Joshua Laster (So., Warwick, NJ/Warwick Valley) 215th in 31:10.9 to round out the Diplomats’ finishers.

Overall, Haverford College won the team title with 36 points, while Carnegie Mellon University (80), Allegheny College (116), Widener University (130) and Elizabethtown (154) College rounded out the top five teams.
